The Plantin-Moretus Museum allows you to visit the residence and workshop of a 16th-century publishing dynasty. On creaking oak planks, you can discover the history of books, the art of printing and the oldest printing presses in the world ...
On the central Grote Markt, you will find a statue of Brabo and the giant's hand. This is based on a mythical Roman soldier who killed a giant, thus providing the city with a great story about its name. Today. you can also buy hand-shaped biscuits and chocolates. And try the moules & frites!
JEF loves youth film. JEF brings quirky, high-quality youth films to cinemas and schools, and into people's homes. But JEF is more than just film. JEF is a festival. JEF is for and by young people, encouraging them to participate in workshops, to make their own films and to experiment with new media formats.
JEF is the youth film contact for everyone involved in youth, film and new media, at school or in leisure time. And JEF stimulates directors and actors to strive for a broader and better Flemish youth film production.
